Finished cyclops



Here is the cyclops - finsally finished!  The ponytail is made of wool wrapped in rags ...... just in case you thought it was real.  The stone has been polished with beeswax and linseed oil, which has darkened it a bit. Any comments welcome!

Hello.  Welcome to my stonecarving and sculpture blog.  I will be posting updates and pictures of the various oddities that I make.  My most recent carving is a cyclops made in Portland stone with mosaic inlay for his eye and a sort of dredlock ponytail.... you'll see what I mean when I get the photo up.
